Hide Updates in Windows XP

You can hide the updates which you don’t want to install on your PC. There are some updates which are more than 100 MB in size, they will take the bandwidth unnecessarily if the update is of no use to be installed in your computer. You can hide these updates so that they will not be updated automatically by Windows Automatic Updates. You can do so by visiting Microsoft Update Website.

When the update list will open, then expand the detail of update by clicking on + sign. At the bottom you will see “Don’t show this update again”. Click on the checkbox. Then the update will not be shown.
